Re: The Eddie

The is doing my head in. Roy Stewart, don't you get it? This thread is about discussing The Eddie. A contest. Regadless of what you think is the appropriate equipment contestants should be using, if partcipants in the thread wanted to discuss equipment, they'd do it in another thread about the right...

Re: To Don >>>> Just A Suggestion !!!

Sure, you are right. But despite my short lived existence on here I was witness to some fine banter for a coupla years before I felt I could jump in and yeah, it's gone down hill from then. Happy to wear the Johnny come lately hat I can understand why you'd feel pissed off with lack of responses.

Re: To Don >>>> Just A Suggestion !!!

Look, despite the tendancy these days for old schoolers to drop out sighting boredom and such, RealSurf is precious for the sustained sense of community and self moderation. Dino's and Shearer's aside who chip in with stupid worthless quips and baits  there's still an ongoing sense of convi...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

A more than decent bit of swell came into Bondi today. Wasting it's time. Banks are utter rubbish. Copped a few on the head, caught out sitting in close picking off the littl'uns as sets were closing out. Got a little rinsed and shaken. Came in with ma tail between ma legs after half an hour. :( Wen...

Re: The Floods

I'm not much on facts and figures. I speak from the gut. Observation and instinct suggest things arent really as they should be. Things happen for a reason. But not without input from both good and evil. Indifference and ignorance play a big part too. As does meaningful intention and willfull purpos...

Re: Wax on Tufflite

Ok. I'm serious here.
How about wearing booties, you know like reef booties.

I've done so on occasions, in winter mind you, so as it's not so odd, and heck, the grip you get is pretty good.

Ok, not so serious.

How about ear wax?

Re: Surfing airs are rubbish - discuss

Well it doesn't help that I used the totally wrong term... in a halpipe the transitions (trannies) are the curvy bits that link the flat bit to the vertical bit. I should have said the lip. though I also tend to try and stay on the one wall, which stuff the trannies. (obviously context is important...

Easy Kaboo. Now, while I'm 'down wit' some of lingo you use above, and unashamed enough to confess to being friends with a few trannies round the Cross, that last sentence in the second last para has got me baffled. :?

I can understand why Braithy.
And without the slightest bit of cruel irony here, I just can't help but invoke the words of Travis Bickle ......."someday a real rain will come down and wash the streets of this scum".

How to duckdive? My fcuken arse.

It's alll very sad stuff when lives are lost. The media are having frenzy with this and as we're headlong into the 21C and then some, they've had a fair bit of practice covering these sorts of events worldwide.
