The wave recorded in Tasmania was 18m - this converts to 59 feet.
I guess someone figured Taz and Crowdy head are close enough

Re: Bali money?

Stick the money in sealed envelopes of say $200 each. (write the amount on the outside) That way you don't have a big wad of cash, and you'll know if a sly $50 goes missing. -It doesn't happen in many places, but the keypad room saves have an emergency unlock code, and there are other people with ac...

Re: Unwritten Rules Of Competitive Surfing

Surfers are rarely so cut-throat in competition...any reasons why? There was a 3 man heat at pipe, where one surfer was frozen out by the others sitting either side. -Can anyone remember details? How about some of the recent leash grabs. I'm not sure surfers are less cut-throat, other than limited ...

Re: Unwritten Rules Of Competitive Surfing

I assume you mean Slater did it so Beschen's score did not count?

That's more exploiting the rules for your own advantage rather than sportsmanship.

I mean things like Occy trying to give Garcia waves at Pipe (although that was more for personal safety than fairness)

Unwritten Rules Of Competitive Surfing

Any examples of unbecoming conduct which, while within the rules, ended...

Re: Suggested boards for Bali in September

The crowds thin out a bit from peak season, but the waves, particularly around Legian are around the 3' size more often than not. The further west you walk from Legian, the less crowded the beachies are. They...
