Re: Na Papa Surfboards....
I just have not liked the idea of another multi national company, and one who makes surfboards. Its sad to see how their impact influences longboarding and surfing in general. They are brainwashing the comp scene, giving boards away...AHHHHHHHH and sponsor every freaking comp. Its sad for me to watc...

Re: Stylish Single Fin Surfer - is it the board?
I realised style and a smooth approach to the whole wave, was exactly what i wanted to develop when i was about 12. John Gill from Avalon was the first real inspiration. Was the most polished, silky smooth surfer i had seen, from there never looked back. Single fin develop that in a surfer for sure....

Re:
The first twin fin known to have been made came from Bob Simmons of Windansea, SoCal. Bob made a few twinnies as part of his pioneering of laminate construction in the late 1940s. I've seen one, it's pretty classic: redwood-lam balsa plus resin, round nose squaretail, the two fins almost right on t...

Watch this space kids, there could well be another about to fall, but not due to quality. Ramifications could be pretty unsettling for the industry.

Re: Best Australian Longboarder of all time?
Midget Farrelly, morally- beacuase he deserves alot more respect than he recieved post 66' till March 09' (when Bombora, a more comprehensive version of Australia's surfing history came out) but credit to Nat Young, he was a fantastic longboarder then, the 80s, 90s and now...as is midget still. Re: Hull-tastic
Its doing its job. The last few days have been pumping, but not to great for it- more reserved for pintail semi gun shortboards lately
But there are some magical banks on the Northern Beaches, so if it drops, and wind stays offshore we will have some sick walls to highline.

Re: Longboards - Rebuilding the quiver
Those models all go well and suit your wants....maybe not nessecarily your needs though...as in the Noosa 66 is an absolutely sick log...but only if you can get it in the right part of thewave all the time- and that is the pocket. The Dane Wilson model in a bell pin tail will get you 1-4 feet of use...

apology fail … surfin turf completely loses sh!t … another harangue by surfin turf … there will be people who “get this” and people who don’t I understand your frustration. Similar to a Liddle hull ? Yes Dain has drawn his inspiration from them. http://www.empireave.com/?p=1803 I think he mentions them in this article. No hate. But hows about a photo. And how does it go backside? . It is really difficult at first, i surfed perfect small Raglan on it and struggled the ...

I agree with Wanderer and Guard. DEFINATELY NO A BOARD FOR SLOP. fast, zippy down the line beachies, points or rivermouths. i prefer my forehand but thats only because i highline the shite out of them...my backhand i can get more unstuck. I also agree with brownhornet, Gettin a proven template and m...
