Re: Indonesia July school holidays?

G-Land is certainly an option but I'd hate it to be maxed out & me being an onlooker, or scalped like Beany's mate. The same SW swells hit Roti and it holds any size, really! But there's very few takers when its huge. If you glance up from the dinner table at Tirosa you'll see a very faded picture ...

More or less. I think its such a touchy subject that probably the best score you can hope for is a zero, getting minus points would be really easy though

Re: Just general surfing stuff

OK, Realsurf hardcore surfer scoring sheet:

Vibe: 10
Board Talk: 10
Surf Advice: 10
Core Moral Stance: 10
Claiming: -10 (you can only lose points for this)

I think skipper just opened with a solid 18, scored as:

Vibe: 9
Board Talk: 3
Surf Advice: 1
Core Moral Stance: 5
Claiming: 0

Re: Just general surfing stuff

What criteria are we using? Well if you don't mind me suggesting, I think it is really more about how hard core we come across here on RS. It can have fcuk all to do with how good you are. Like who knows what really goes on? All we have to go on is the claiming, the surf checks, the stance one take...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Riding asian pop-outs has to be grounds for immediate disqualification or this comp can have zero credibility. Exactly the opposite. According to well known pundits of surfing, this particular choice of surfcraft handicaps a surfer to such an extent that any surfer who can make them work must posse...

Re: Indonesia July school holidays?

Everywhere is crowded so just maybe pick the places with the waves that you want to surf: mellow, hollow, lefts, rights? Are you prepared to travel hard and accept basic accommodation, or is comfort and easy access a priority. Are you good enough to compete, and want to compete, for the best waves a...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

What criteria are we using? Just being the best doesn't automatically mean hardcore. Committment and hours in the water for the last year may be indicators of more core.

This should be a yearly comp.

Did locals get the flaming torches and pitchforks at Swellnet's office or the property where the camera is located?

I don't get protein powder. there are so many abundant sources of high quality naturally occurring protein, why do you need a processed source? Well exactly, you should get it, as its made from whey which is "an abundant sources of high quality naturally occurring protein". The joke is though that ...

Don't sell Beery, keep the good ones. You've had a run of injuries, but in a year, or 2, or 5, or whatever, you'll be back into it and kicking yourself for letting good boards go
