How do you guys do it? By yourself, one-by-one, or in a large group?
The reason I ask is that last time I was at Port Mac I crossed the seaway by myself, and let rip a Hatchy special (Aquaturd) when a 2ft tall fin popped up in front of me, head on.

Re: Unusual surf injury, or not?
The number of times I've had a beginner on a mal in front of me at snapper, only to have them shit themselves at the sight of the foam rushing towards them and throw their board away in fear, is ridiculous. It completely ruins my good time, having to dive as deep as possible and hope your head looks...

Yeah NC. In fact, I nominate myself as your e-book manager. 70-30 split, of course.Aaronarizonasurfer wrote: Nick don't forget to look into publishing an ebook I bet you can make some sales in other countries to help fund a nice surf trip.

I think there was a thread a couple of months ago, and we were all trying to find a scan of the picture of this bloke praying as he was caught inside... it eventually turned up, taken out of a very old SW I think. I'd love to hear NC's take on it! [EDIT] Found it! http://forum.realsurf.com/forum/dow...

Re: sharks holidaying in NSW
All this talk of reefs etc. reminds me of when I was staying at Lennox, surfing just off the beach and all of a sudden about 300m away, just outside the outer reef, a massive figure leapt out of the water (entirely out of the water, it looked like) and slammed back down. I had no idea what it was at...

Like... the atrocious maze of tunnels that are bleeding the city dry, financially!
And the pretentious "beach" that decided to sit itself in South Bank Gardens!
And a river that's always a thick, treacly poo brown colour!
I've got the resume ready to send to Tourism QLD.

Re: Heads up
Ok, you'll need a large bucket, 2L of Low Fat milk, Honey, a velcro strip and a purple beret. First, put the purple beret on your head. You want to look stylish, don't you? Second, find a large stick that has a texture similar to Bob Hawke's face. Beat the bucket in a rythmic tribute to Huey, asking...

Re: Board needed
I actually snapped the leggy in boxing day surf at the Wreck on the way down there... tied it back up with a shoelace. Wouldn't the board be flapping around and bouncing up and down on the roof? And stress the shit out of the nose? Spork - No such luck with the sunroof. Although I think I get what y...

Josh, not going to lie, I considered duct-taping them on. I would have made a pair of roof racks but my Volvo is new-ish, and is one of those cars that only has the rivet/plug things in the roof instead of the gutters. (Yes it's a Volvo, I wear a tweed hat and coat, drop the kids off to soccer pract...

Hey guys, I spent my christmas in the Wollongong area (Where I grew up + with family) and the girlfriend flew down to stay with me in Kangaroo Valley for a while. Now, being the considerate type, of course I agreed to drive back up to Brisbane with her. At the time I didn't think how this would affe...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Took a gamble, saved my money and didn't hit the surf today. I think it paid off, from all reports, nothing spectacular today apart from the monolithic crowds that seem to have swallowed every break known to man over the festive period. What was T-Tree like today? I'm sure one of you boys scored... ...
