Personally I think the wedge at south curly can be great at times. There are some days where it makes some very punchy little right handers. It does do the opposite sometimes though.

As above. Big dead south swells are the best. If its dead south it'll be that good that you won't want to take any mates there with you either. You won't want to share with them when its that good. If the swell has any E or N in it then don't bother bringing your mates either. They'll be really diss...

My most gnarly one (but not worst injury) was surfing second reef winki. I caught a medium sized set for the day and went a little too straight into the inside ledge and ended up having to air drop down over the surge. As I was falling I watched all of the water drain off the platform. I landed the ...

What suburb do you live in? Go and join a brazilian jiu-jitsu class, preferably a club that offers MMA (mixed martial arts) classes. I know of one in north narra, manly, bondi, concord, maroubra. They're everywhere. Jump in the internet and check it out. Also, if you want to know what brazilian jiu-...

That guys rediculous, 40'000! E's can be good in moderation if you're careful: testing them with a test kit, check reports that the same pill has been taken by other people and has been fine, that you're not taking anti-depressents or haven't been for 6 months, drink an appropriate amount of water, ...

I put it up to him but I would have liked to have seen Parko win.

This puts Parko and Occy in a pretty good spot for the rest of the tour, can't wait to watch the coming events :)

I think the most important thing when you are starting out is to keep going as often as you can and not to get discouraged when you feel like you're holding onto a piece of driftwood. I think you can sort of break things up when you start into little bits to think about: - Wave reading: What wave wi...

That was absolute madness.

Taking a drop like that would have been the last thing on my mind in a situation like that at such a heavy wave.

Surely theres a better option than putting a net up that catches and kills a lot of different marine animals. What about these electronic shark repelling devices? They have to regularly head out to service the nets, so why couldn't they have battery operated shark repellars at certain intervals to m...

I think that used in the right hands, a jetski can be fine. Towing into waves that would normally be impossible or almost impossible to paddle into is cool. Also towing a bommie thats huge without many people out is cool too. But when its used any other time than that, its selfish and it stinks. If ...

Get rid of them, its no different to hunting them all down and killing them. Its just lazier method than attracting them to the surface and shooting them. With some shark species endangered (e.g. the great white, which does cruise up our east coast), why isn't there a huge uproar similar to the whal...
