Re: Where did you surf today ?
This thread has nearly brought a tear to my eye. I haven't surfed since the last school holidays. You can definitely get in a downward spiral, making it even harder to raise the effort to go out. Other forms of exercise help in the short term. Try an overnighter AJ. Late arvo surf, sleep in your car...

Re: Ears
If you get proper ear plugs from an audiologist, you won't have any more issues (provided you happy to wear them). The exostosis won't get any worse and no more ear infections.

Re: Ears
It's likely exostosis. The narrowed canal causes water to get stuck, leading to infections. So either get them drilled or get proper ear plugs.

i might start shaping, just so i can release that model! There's could be a whole series. Re: princess margaret river pro
But what do the viewers want to see? Personally, a speed run by a super talent to set up a couple of turns or a tube is way better than 50 vertical snaps.

Re: princess margaret river pro
I agree with the assessment of the locations against the WSL scoring criteria. But what's interesting is that not all the locations considered to meet the criteria, are the best viewing IMHO. You need the dreamy or critical waves first, then the competition is the icing on the cake to make it worthw...

Re: wetsuit
My young kids all have Aldi wetsuits. They are only flat lock springsuits, but the neoprene is supple and the seams have held together.

But at the mid to north end it was one of the only beaches along that stretch where I used to feel like I wasn't in the city, particularly in winter.Davros wrote: Curly 2 ft south swell generally not too bad where it's flat elsewhere, but hey I don't work for the Curl Curl tourisism so yeh it's yuk.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
“the industrial problem arises from the base forcing of all human energy into a competition of mere acquisition.” Human concerns, in other words, are narrowed to economics. It is unsurprising to see people concerned solely with making a living if they face starvation. But, for Lawrence, what is que...
