yep, the trough oscillates back and forth between coast and ranges before a surface low looks to form on Sun. wet and windy, though deffo probability for some highly targeted surf windows in amongst wind changes, specially in that area. Looks like this trough which is accessing the northern australian heat pool and the following surface low expected off the North Coast/Mid North Coast this weekend will be pattern changers.

the first line of storms passed through here about 6pm....I went rockfishing at 8.30 and watched the big cells to the south and next line approach from the W. stayed till about 9.30 when a big crack of thunder and approaching lightning all of a sudden made standing out on the end of a rock platform ...

McTavish Surfboard Voucher.

That GoPro I lost in April while working on a short fillum with my wife,,........well, the film won first Prize at the Byron Bay Surf Film Festival. And the Prize was an $800 buck voucher at McTavishes. No good to us, we need to reinvest that dough into a new GoPro. So the voucher is for sale for $7...

whistler/blackC is fine for kiddies and if you get a pow-pow day on the Whistler pillows/glades or backcountry bowls so easily accessible from the peak chair you won't be complaining about snow quality.

sure the lower slopes can get gluggy in a bad season but up high is fine.

OK but if you want dry interior snow you'll need to hack the cold. milder, maritime climate= wetter snow. I've heard lots of good things about Wyoming. Jackson Hole, if you like that cowboy vibe. Whistler/Blackcomb are huge mountains with a ton of vertical and great back country/heli skiing options ...
