Re: Midlengths

That looks beautiful salty, love the outline. The deck looks like the love child of 80”s billabong & quiksilver prints, epic!

Re: Single fin shortboards

Jack Knight from Harvest surfboards shapes a single fin with Jim Pollard influenced curved channels which run from nose to tail. Trippy but he has been doing them for decades..... I know this doesn’t answer your question Hatchy but I to am curious, hopefully someone can chip in and explain, cheers

Went the Farm with 750 of my closest friends. Reasonable wave, but man, the water was more frigid than my year 7 girlfriend.
Speaking historically of course. >><<

Re: bonzers.....the quad fad is over

Got it - 5'9, 19 1/2, 2 1/4 - egg. It's really refined, with HP rails and a pulled in nose and tail. Have surfed it about five times. Great allrounder. Really gelled with it from the first surf, which i don't often do with bonzers. Shoulder recovery is slow, so i can only surf once to twice a week,...

I think it’s the “Bodega Boardriders” podcast which has a good interview with Devon Howard talking eggs. Well worth a listen

Re: Midlengths

Yeh, I'd say this 7ft Mini has a bit more performance than the other model. It's designed for decent surf. But you never know. McCoys. Well. McCoys. One day I'll try one and probably love it. If you enjoy the thin bitey rails, then no, you probably won’t enjoy the McCoy! What fins are you using in ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I have my 7'er being fitted with a centre fin box as we speak. A 5 fin, but I never use the fcs centre fin box, so a 10"er is going in. I will definately use side bites if I think it'll improve the board. Fluk joel Tudor ! Ps I will not say that to his face :) Try some fcs bonzer side bites, even i...

As I live in Queensland perhaps I should just toughen up & wear a wooly jumper like back in the day TRHS footy jersey worked well. Holy crap Trev, are u 80 years old or something? 80 & still surfing, that’s awesome 70 next week. Our sports master wanted to know why my footy jersey was so faded towa...

i'm getting one done from Malcolm in the next few weeks - $1050.
To be fair though Batoes. Your choice of purveyors of surf equipment has been lacking in the past so let’s just wait and see huh? I hear that the Dead Kooks do a nice bonzer.
Ouch! Best thread ever tho.....

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

My needessentials has got a massive hole in the armpit. Have had it since August but started wearing it in October or so. If it wasn't for that, i would have been impressed. Fit was great; very soft, stretchy etc. I will try to repair, but i don't think i will buy again. Shame. Oh...... I was gonna...
