Re: Where to surf (Sydney - Gold Coast)
Plenty of travellers do over nighters in beach car parks. Solves the shower and toilet option. Should you choose this option please at least clean up after your self and don't stay long in 1 spot. TBH I would look at national parks as well and also council camp sites, plenty of secluded options. You...

Loving it. East swell, light winds, some whopping storms, warm water. Such a switch.

Re: SPRING
Ironically a glass of wine after posting that the storms passed and allowed a window to grab a sly wave. As I pulled up home @ 7:30 the rain started again. We've had 120mls over this event.
Looks like Wooli to Yamba has marked the northern limit of the storms over the last 2 days.

Re: SPRING
Have to dodge the thunder storms as well. Been an active afternoon last couple. Had a window after work that coincided with a vigorous band of storms that precluded me from getting a wave, again.

I'm a fair way from old Spork....
It's less about protecting Nirvana from the hordes than corralling the sheep into the correct paddocks. After all the east coast is hardly the last frontier for the brave explorer.

Re: Mick campbell
OK. Just to sort this out in a public forum and all. There are NO good waves worth surfing from roughly Old Bar to Ballina. What waves there are are either populated by rabid mals (Crescent) or shark infested or the car parks are full of toothless meth heads just waiting to break into city slicker S...

Banana Coast
June: above average to very good
July: above average- sand better though and a few tasty east swells took advantage of this.
August: average to quiet- but laid some nice sand in the right spots.

Cheers. :-D-: Hey, OddaP, how was your trip? Hopefully everything was great, particular surfing... I thought i'll be now in tahiti and ...

Thanks Don. Muchly appreciated you taking your time, NC, I'll hold fire on the excitement until I see the swell, it looks good either way
Don, I'll give a run down when I get back.
Thanks again.

Re: CI Dagger
I rode a Flyer II @ a demo day and it wasa great board, although tellingly it sported an enormous pressure ding on the deck near the nose after 1 surf. Soft as. My mate caved in his rail on a newish CI recently with no idea how it happened. So my impression is that quality is suss To the Dagger, nic...
