Re: Where did you surf today ?

I didn’t think it was a pic of you. There’s no way you’d embarrass yourself like that. But couldn’t you have at least found a pic of someone looking remotely competent? Or is that the general standard over there?

Jesus it’s dead in this place lately.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

How’s the tick tacks going this week? Rare as hens teeth slabs or back to flapping in wind mush?

Still waiting on a explanation of that upright bunny rabbit getting caught behind. Lots to unpack there

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Oh man. That sounds amazing NC! AJ and Hatchy, did either of you check Port? I hear it was good. Pretty wonky up here as well. Let's see if this lil nor'easter gives us a couple tomorrow morn... Checked port on the way through. The beach was suffering the same shiftiness as the farm. The reef had s...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

The middle section sitting a little inside had the best form. Straight into the bowl without having to try and scratch into them. Even they had plenty of shutdowns On the plus side the outgoing rip on the west corner along the rocks was that strong there was barely any need to paddle. One of the eas...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I surfed there all day. Thought you might’ve been around. Pretty crowded due to the rally. The swell was a bit all over the place. Hangover from yesterday’s south winds, long period south swell overpowering the banks. Some ok ones in the mix, but you had to be right on the button at the last second ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Shoulder to head high plus fairly chunky and consistent swell bunching into the south corner. Strong side shore wind was a bit of a bother, but still had decent shape.

Re: Midlengths

That clip is spot on.

Anyone seen on of those FW Machado Seaside and Beyond models yet?
Basically a stretched out quad fish, with enough rocker curve to keep things interesting.

OK so around 90 is medium hardness and good for all round stuff?
And just go for mid size around 55mm?
90a about right for what she’s after. And size also sounds about right. Though still recommend calling basement skate. Them dudes know their stuff.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Mid to late arvo bash at garie. Strong cross shore washy ripbowls at chest to head high plus, abrupt and ledgy with lots of punch and consistent swell. Only me out. At least the water wasn’t brown and freezing cold though.

OK I’ve not been skating since the Ozi Skate days and need some tips. Daughter is getting past the cheap Big W Mambo skateboard so we’re upgrading. Got a deck she likes, (31 by 8”) Know the truck width, can you guys recommend some wheels? General street use, she will have a shot at the (smooth conc...

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards

I recently picked up a freeflight six channel single from sideways and so far I’m loving it. And the indonesian construction seems ok and pretty solid for a standard PU board.

Anyone ridden a Freeflight Twin Vent? They look like a great beach break board. And the price is right at $499

Has anyone had any experience with 5 fin bonzers?
I’ve had two. They feel like a pepped up single fin with more bite mid face.
