Re: Bells Beach
Btw in my humble etc If that 10 of CCs was a 10 I’ll kiss loofy Italo will just have to suck that one up, it was totally his fault for playing a frantic hand without priority Gabriel was underscored on his bomb, that first turn was balls out, but John still won the heat It was a real good day, one ...

Re: Bells Beach
Can you gimme a brief lowdown on Rabbit's concept? The original Dream Tour was what took them to Tahiti originally and Gland and that ridiculous spectacle that was in Mexico. I’ll happily stand corrected by NC and Shearer but it was the when pro surfing was exciting. I understand that they need to ...

Re: Bells Beach
I agree with GS. I reckon it’s cooked. No doubt pro surfing will always exist but the current model doesn’t work. The viewership is unbelievably low and there simply isn’t the endless pit of money from the surf companies anymore.
Rabbit’s model of the dream tour is the thing to save it I reckon.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
Sideways Surf have opened an outlet store in Brookvale. Any good my Queensland comrades? Sideways are sorta like the Kmart of the surf world. There’s stuff I would buy from there but other things I’d stay clear of. Their boards are all made in Bali although shapes are licensed from from reputable s...

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Fair enough. There’s another mob from up here called the Independent Surf Company or something. I think Shearer reviewed one of their suits.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Nearly that time of year again. Looking for a new steamer. What steamers are people using this long, harsh winter. I’m gonna get one of these. https://needessentials.com/collections/mens-wetsuits/products/2-2-chest-zip-wetsuit-steamer Too cold for you BA but I had a 2/2 from them that has lasted 2 ...

Dbah looked like loads of fun this morning. I guess it doesn’t have the same appeal in terms of a finishing venue.

Re: Sumba
You can see his board chattering away with the speed he had. Was that the Russian bloke?
I mean he got two barrels or maybe three but wonder if a bigger board my have suited better for that particular wave.

Re: Cruise ship,Terminals and Otway raids!
Look I appreciate your points of view Wyre and Brett. As I said a couple of weeks ago. I’m sure Beans is a quite interesting bloke IRL. He’s been around. It’s the threadbombing that I don’t like. You can paint me as the nasty guy but one of the funniest and most entertaining posters here was Braithy...
