Steve, how do the "smart" drum lines work? You asked shearer but I guess he missed it. Smart drumlines have 4g responders attached to the drum. There was a case where the guy's legrope went into the sharks mouth first and apparently it took a moment to spit it out, giving him time to move.
I don't remember whether he suffered any injuries.
But he lived to tell the tale.

Aren't the sea temps taken a few Klms out to sea.
I always thought the in shore temps were colder than those recordings.

You live on the Sunshine Coast, Trev. Don't even need a wetsuit. Sunshine plus Scottish skin. I wear one for Sun protection if I'm out in the middle of the day. And maybe five times a year when it's single digits temp and strong swesterlies. Don't forget I mostly surf before you even wake up. I've ...
