Re: Just general surfing stuff

Windansea Club (organisers of the long running Pa and Ma Bendall comp) on the Sunshine Coast has won a court battle against protestors of it's council approved clubhouse. Interesting reading here. The two main protagonists aren't even local residents but they suckered in a bunch of others to go alo...

Public service....or revenue raising?
Can they book people in the car park or only on the main road line up?
Either way.
If they're lined up and just crawling forward every so often, that's a shit act.
Why not just walk along and say, "put the phone away".

Missed your updates on the Bondi Covid queue - apparently police were booking the mums using their phones while waiting in their big SUVs.
Seriously?

I see more than one problem with the top photo.

and very much of the east coast is dependent on the vicissitudes of changing sand banks.
Hahaha.
Sandbanks.

Not my problem.

Mud trails?
GStQ's mud trails are nothing compared to the sandy beachside fishing tracks between Lennox and BH.

how often do you need to paddle continuously where stamina is an issue?
Not often.
But when you do need it, the surf is probably special and your stamina will determine how long you stay out for and how many waves you catch.

Chest high, consistent and waters warm. Whole stretch of beach with several choices of peaks all to myself this arvo.

Why am I moving to the country again?
Mate, get yourself a catamaran. 16 or 18 footer. Would go great on the dam.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

The Point at Santa Cruz Chatted with a nice fella that was riding a "freeway board". It's a bit of thing down here given the amount of freeways, apparently one can find a surfboard with some regularity on the side of the road. He was pretty happy with it, only cost about $120 in fiberglass repairs ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I went in a mal club comp up the northern beaches a few years back. Nailed a fin first take off and managed to swing the board back around. Was stoked with it, got a few hoots. When I went in, I was told that it didn't count as fin first take offs weren't a recognised scoring manoevre. Didn't bothe...
