Re: Midlengths
It’s a pretty small place that seems to book out pretty quick. I’m only spending $1700 including flights (garuda all the way there and back). Loads cheaper than the Tengirri boat trip I did in 2016, but less time away from the kids which is important. If I didn’t travel so much for work I’d be doing...

Re: Midlengths
I’m staying at the Sumba surf camp. 6-12th. Ended up with 6’10 Jye Byrnes Crossbreed this morning after seeing one second hand on his instagram page, with fins for a bargain. I used to have 6’8 PCC which I took to indo a couple of years ago, stupidly sold it. Similar shape as Iggy’s 6’4. I love taki...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Sounds like too much hard work for little reward. I need to surf the beachies more. I realised how unfit (how lazy i’ve become) i was the other day when i tried getting out at north Narrabeen. Spending too much time at the point really has a negative impact on fitness and duck diving skills... Been ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
No meat and three veg here the last coupla days. Yesterday just all feeling a bit Hawaiian, smooth late drops, deep connective turns on the big six, epic show-pony "down carves" with the whole drop knee shtick going, changing up the lines, letting the board manhandle the wave, then riding into sand...

Re: post your modern day sickness
All of the well known brands have a similar model to that one. It’s all “more foam under the chest, wider point pushed forward bla bla bla”. There are differences between them so before splashing out $800 on the Chilli I’d look at the DHD models and definitely Lost and maybe Channel Islands. They’r...

Re: Tail shape ... what do you prefer?
Just buy it. And if you don't like it sell it. :) The swallow tail issue was surrounding the board on the gumtree. The rocker question was more around my thoughts on getting a board with a bit more rocker for the better days around home. I like the looks of the Slater designs Gamma. Thinking the 5’...

Re: Tail shape ... what do you prefer?
Also,
If you had two boards exactly the same, but one had low entry and exit rocker and the other had medium entry and exit rocker. How much different would the boards paddle? Would it be that noticeable?

Re: Where did you surf today ?
It used to be relatively quiet (shoes) yeah, with the advent of social media and all the local hot groms trying to get "the shot" it's a fkn zoo down there. I only check it if I have a day off work. Great wave to shoot in all honestly so many different vantage points. there's almost always someone ...
