I’ve had one of these in a 6’2 before. Loved it.

Re: skateboarding ...

First time poster in this thread. Picked up my first skateboard in 20+years. (Now 37) Got a smoothstar 34” Rusty as old gate. Fell hard about 5 times in 15mins. Pushed through for the next 15mins and strung a few smoother runs down the new smooth path at Greenhills. Had some xrays done in the mornin...

Re: Portugal.

I'm going to portugal in June for a conference. Tacking a 4night stay on the end with the wife.
tossing up between a motor home or going the airbnb/hirecar option.

that southern peninsula seems like a good option.

I've read all of the above, but there's nothing specific to the lagos area.

That pumpkin seed shape with the big V is a winner.
You’re not wrong.
It’s taken me 10years to admit it, but going too short too early is probably the single biggest mistake a surfer can make.

Re: Midlengths

How's the Sea Axe go? I’m a massive fan. If I snapped it, I’d have no hesitation in replacing it with the same board. And I don’t say that often. I don’t mind admitting it, but I bought this shortly after seeing a clip of Devon Howard shredding on an orange 7’2 in a similar size. It’s now my focus ...

Re: Sumba

My mate has been before, but he’s not the kind of guy that gets into the details too much. The convo goes down the like this... “How was your trip?” “Got some waves, drank heaps of beer and the food was pretty good man” “What were the waves like?” “Some good, some not so good, you know, it’s indo man”

Interested to hear the feedback on the Crossbreed
Won’t be picking up until the 4th Feb, when i head up to Newcastle next for work.

Then I have to wait for a wave to give it a go.

It’ll complement the 7’2 Firewire Seaxe I have very well I think.

Sumba

I’m going in April, Sumba Surf Camp in Kerewei, sounds like there’s a few other punters going too.

Would love to hear from anyone that’s been. Favourite waves, fun things to do, places to avoid, what boards did you take.

Re: Europe in September

Thanks for the input to this everyone.
Didn’t end up surfing, didn’t have the time to get out to the coast.
Spent some quality time with the spouse and then made a solo trip up to the Dam to sample the green.
That place is a connoisseur’s paradise.

Just google mapped the trip from the surf camp to millers. If it’s accurate, 3.5 hours drive. F that.

Can’t wait to get my hands on it. When I saw the post on instagram, I was that excited a little bit of wee came out.... Looks great to me Jet! https://vimeo.com/184146981 But I'd ask for a bit more volume. I’ve seen that clip about 50 times. I get a little OCD about these kinds of things, but i gue...
