Re: Where did you surf today ?

Connor O’Leary was ready to rip this year a new one from what I saw of him in the pre-season.

Re: Midlengths

Pretty much everything. If there’s any flattish sections especially so I can connect the dots.
My centre is clustered right to the back of the bites.
Would be better back further on the bigger days but as I had to shim it I haven’t been fcuked to change it.
I like to set and forget.

Re: Midlengths

What size you get?

My setup is glide fins 1+2 - 6.5 GPS (pornstar) with 4” side bites
They seem to go really well. Haven’t tried anything else

Been surfing my arse off lately, how fcuken good are pandemics for your wave count!

Should get out for the next 3 days in a row

Late Saturday in Shoreham was hilarious.
FLexible working hours during non-pandemic time was way fuschia better.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

It's the less sand on the bar the more energy that can get upstream as it doesn't all get lost breaking on it.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Anyone ever ridden on one of those banks out beyond the Richmond entrance? I have and I’ve seen a few others but very rare. I took this photo in winter 2017 when there was plenty of shark fear still. The 2nd shot is just cropped in of the first. Nth wall had been completely gutted for sometime afte...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

What’s the name of that extremely tasty, fast-folding, highly desirable left sometimes right up the top end of Lighthouse, Ballina. The one that never works, ever. I call it north lighthouse or out front of the surf club  Some times I call it speedland as it’s kind of off the south end of spee...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I saw a few funnish looking peaks with clean faces and no one on them. I had low expectations but thought I could at least get a few turns in. Got across the rocks, got halfway out and then it started bucketing down with a stiff NEaster that would occasionally swing SE. Rain drops were bouncing 6inc...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Well I think as the cops gave warnings and fines at Lennox, the tourists and vans are just pushing further south. North wall crowd looks like dbah (just check the RMS cam), I surfed a spot where I surf to avoid crowds and there were multiple vans and troopies with luggage on top, about 8 chicks with...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

fuschia this morning was good. It had that longer period with appropriate but not too lengthy lulls like you get in the south and the west where you’re happy to get pumped by a set and it’s easy enough to get back out. Caught 3 set waves to pull off with a dry hair paddle back. Heard it pumped all d...

2'-3' light onshore crap. At least it was a reef and only 4 people out though.

After having been able to gloat a bit for the last 6 years I'm now going to be pitied
Pity is reserved for those in Sydney’s Eastern burbs.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

A great day of waves today, was glassy till 1.30 then still only light wind now.
Solid 4-5 with 6ft clean ups.
Crowds were back to manageable for the early, uncrowded for the midmorning into lunchtime session.

Wait, you think that 6' is too much for that board? I got a 6'2" last year that has a higher upper limit but the 6'1" is pretty solid at that size for me, and I'm bigger than you (taller, maybe same weight).
Solid 6’ from the south can be a bit hard to paddle into/paddle to position.
