Re: Where did you surf today ?

Erratic head and a half sets all morning, some long lulls. Side-off wind putting chop on the wave faces early, shifted to light offshore mid morning. No crowds, max of about 15. Perfect balmy weather.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

It's been pumping all day today, seems like this swell will never end.

Two surfs and a really good massage. My day is done.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

The Bommie, Peak and Outside Corner are all working now. Beautiful day, light offshore, not a drop of water out of place

Re: Midlengths

After 3 or four near misses, I'm now really paranoid. No shark deaths is one of the great things about indo! Care to elaborate on any Cranked? How near were the misses? Nothing dramatic duck, each one is not much, but they sort of add up to be a bit concerning. First was at Avalon, no one out, smal...

Re: Midlengths

That was my opinion when I moved to WA in 1990 - I surfed everywhere by myself or with one or two others. 20 years! I thought we had an agreement, then in about 2010 it started.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

In the water at 6am today. Started with head high sets every 15 minutes, only 2 or three waves in a set though, but there was only a hand full out over a 500m stretch of the reef. First well overhead 6-8 wave set at around 7am, that kept up till I got out at 8am. Got my pick of a wave from nearly ev...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Chest high this morning, 30 out, a bit lumpy but the offshore will fix that soon. I think I'll wait for the 22s swell due mid afternoon though.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Temples early. Only one person out at 6:30am. Got a few nice fast little waves and a cover up. The crowd had slowly increased to 20 when I paddled/reef hopped in at 8:30 - tide just about too low to surf it anyway

Re: Where did you surf today ?

They are just using a WW3 wave model like everyone else but with no enhancement for local anomalies nor bathymetry, and normal imperial feet.

kJs are only 6,500 because of a pretty short period, not significantly more than the 4,500 of the recent modest Indo swell

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Ulus 7am, head high, 60 out at the peak/racetrack.

Bit of a change to the handful of the previous four days.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

No problems so far! I'm cautiously absolutely stoked.

Plus I've started to take more and more heavy wipeouts without any problems.

All of that shit was holding me back. I'd rather not surf again if that was necessary to keep me injury/pain free.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Fcuk I caught a good wave yesterday Al. I'd been pulling back on wave after wave, when suddenly this perfect wedgey ramp appeared on a set wave, it was just out of reach to two other guys, they were screaming "goooo, goooo!" It took about 5 strokes to get in position, then another 5 to drop in. 200+...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Swell jacked up. I went out at 12pm. Numbers right down, 15 on the primo take off spot, swell the biggest and best of the three days. At 2pm there was just 4 of us and I got a few really good waves, one 300m classic. Went in at 3pm. Excellent conditions at 5pm, 3 on the Bommie, 5 on Outside Corner. ...
