Two sessions out the farm today 3-4 foot . Not so crowded for once but both frustrating surfs with no designated take off zones . Still got some good waves in amongst the crap with the morning being better wind wise .
Surprising it was as big as that.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yep the old “shouldnt it be warmer coming from the north?” “no son, it’s from deeper water” I’m in some sort rubber to January. Water starts to get cold in August and stays cold till late Jan. More or less three months behind air temps. October to November I would start considering a Springy maybe....

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Nah, generally steamer May to Aug. September to Oct/Nov is springsuit territory unless it’s a dawnie.

December to Apr is generally boardies and 1 mm vest for sun protection.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Super fun this morning. Chest to head high, not much crowd, north west winds steady with a bit of spring warmth in it. And my piece of shit wettie was handling the conditions fine for a change. I always have a problem buying a wettie at this time of year knowing it's about to go in the cupboard unti...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Yep. Let's look after the environment.

Let's also make our products out of petrochemicals, make them fragile so we have to replace them regularly in a unsustainable way.

Let's build wavepools in floodplains.

And so on.

Like the rest of the pollies, we're a pretty conflicted bunch.

Surf between the flags, Bro. Half the crew is on those things.
Not anymore, nothing with fins.
When did that change? That was the only good for reason for riding one.

Godsave wouldn't be the first surfer to over-compensate for a tight swell window.
Steve, what’s your take on Lakemba’s swell window?
