Re: Midlengths
I've owned 2+1 NPJs and some other 2+1s. I also own quite a few CB bonzers. From my experience - bonzers are far better boards, but of course, this is a matter of opinion and dependent on where you surf and how you surf. My 6'0 2+1 only worked in decent waves and lacked drive in comparison to any of...

Re: Bonzers
I currently have 4, including a biscuit bonzer, but mine is 5'2. My favourite design by a long shot.

Re: Midlengths
Geez, that is a cracker Steve. I'd love to get something like that. Am still very much in love with my Russ Short - great board. Not quite a midlength at 6'2, but for a short-arse, it feels like a super long rail.

Re: Midlengths
https://youtu.be/ZPyBHCSFgXg I like. A hi performance mini mal (hello Steve :)), which makes it a lot more versatile for a range of conditions than some flattened out hipster mid length. I've ridden a few hulls and had a vbowls, which was super flat - and you are right. Unless you got a really nice...

Maurice cole has a midlength. Red dingo. Looks sweet. So many good ones https://youtu.be/ZPyBHCSFgXg I like. Re: Where did you surf today ?
Mystics was mental this afternoon. Some of the biggest waves i've seen out there and they were makeable. I saw guys get some incredible barrels and incredible bashings. It is such an unforgiving wave from takeoff to whitewash. You get anything wrong and splat! Hundreds of people scattered down the b...

Re: Midlengths
Bonzer fins for bonzers 90% of the time. I think a midlength with rolled vee and pinched rails needs a greenough 4a or liddle flex fin.

Re: Where's Roy dissappeared to ?
It is curious. He spent years bickering with everyone on every surf forum on the interweb about the validity of his designs. I remember him dissing bonzers, then years later, marketing bonzer fins on his website... When that cash runs out, he'll be back, until someone else hands him more money for n...

Re: Midlengths
Have trawled a fair bit of this thread, not much on pure longboard replacements. Looking for something for unshortboardable small days, but needs to be sub 7ft to stay in my car. I'm not interested in surfing it if it's over waist high. Want to be able to compete with longboarders on the get in ear...

Re: The Good Luck A Number One McCoy Thread
I rode McCoy nuggets for a while. The lazer zap was awful - everything stu wrote, i felt. Smaller nuggets were great fun (sub 5'8). Always wanted an astron zot. Just waiting for a 5'6 to pop up on gumtree.

Thinking about traction 1. Flat slater designs black 2. Flat slater designs grey 3. Versatraction 3/4 deck coverage 4. Wax Send your two bobs worth I had a board with versatraction for a while. It’s pretty good stuff. I would get it again for sure. No wax is brilliant, in the water and not getting ...
