Just to keep it covered in eye-antibiotics until it’s crusted. Then apply betadine . Wait for it to heal / crust over before surfing again.
Look like it’ll be another couple of weeks

The stitches were unsuccessful. As the cut was too blunt and ugly. So, now I’m left with a gaping shin gash that needs to heal over

Wild huh the people telling me to get the wound cleaned out and stitched are the same people now urging me to surf on it immediately after getting it stitched because who cares the surfs pumping dude !

Yeah, no need to stay out of the water once it's stitched. I had a stitched wound get infected when I surfed on it. It wasn’t a massive issue - just had to squeeze the pus out - but yeah, infected Yeah fuck that. I’m not surfing with it like this. I’ll wait it out until next weekend . Hospital said...

Healing well

Weekend after next I should be back in the surf

Less than 48hrs later the healing process looks underway. Must be all that animal protein and fats I eat each meal each day

the local anesthetic needles were gnarly. thick as fuck and jabbed in about five times all around the wound. needle pushed in the full length of the cut either sides. just got back home and about to smoke myself into weed oblivion then hit the sack

There’s an obese rough looking lesbian in the waiting lounge that’s coughing and suspects whooping cough 🫤

I've had the nurse disinfect and bandage the wound. She says it's superficial, unlikely needs stitches, likely glue it. Though doctor will decide. I'm back in waiting lounge.

Classic 4-6 foot beach break conditions. Surfed the entire Maroubra stretch. Started north end and surfed left after left until I reached the south end then finished with a right. Surfed the 6’2 twin , it performed and handled perfectly.

For reference this is a Nigel Beckham twin. A 6’9 I owned. Fast as fuck and super wild top to bottom.
