Re: Where did you surf today ?

Shoulder to head high plus fairly chunky and consistent swell bunching into the south corner. Strong side shore wind was a bit of a bother, but still had decent shape.

Re: Midlengths

That clip is spot on.

Anyone seen on of those FW Machado Seaside and Beyond models yet?
Basically a stretched out quad fish, with enough rocker curve to keep things interesting.

OK so around 90 is medium hardness and good for all round stuff?
And just go for mid size around 55mm?
90a about right for what she’s after. And size also sounds about right. Though still recommend calling basement skate. Them dudes know their stuff.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Mid to late arvo bash at garie. Strong cross shore washy ripbowls at chest to head high plus, abrupt and ledgy with lots of punch and consistent swell. Only me out. At least the water wasn’t brown and freezing cold though.

Re: skateboarding ...

OK I’ve not been skating since the Ozi Skate days and need some tips. Daughter is getting past the cheap Big W Mambo skateboard so we’re upgrading. Got a deck she likes, (31 by 8”) Know the truck width, can you guys recommend some wheels? General street use, she will have a shot at the (smooth conc...

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards

I recently picked up a freeflight six channel single from sideways and so far I’m loving it. And the indonesian construction seems ok and pretty solid for a standard PU board.

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards

Anyone ridden a Freeflight Twin Vent? They look like a great beach break board. And the price is right at $499

Has anyone had any experience with 5 fin bonzers?
I’ve had two. They feel like a pepped up single fin with more bite mid face.

Just had a look out the back. It's pretty small. Maybe 1-2 foot down here! Wtf.

Is that just my part of the coast?
Likely. As it’s 3-4 Ft NE swell here. If you got time probs head to W and further south of it for more swell

Wind may be a problem tomorrow, but should be plenty of size.
Yep. It’ll be about trade off on size vs quality. The day of sidewinding wind burgers

Re: The Tulla Tub

Were there many parking spots? Asking for a humoon People will come just for the parking. The Urbn surf car park is huge - also its on the edge of an airport/industrial zone with plenty of street parking to absorb overflow. So you could drive down from Sydney for a morning surf if you liked driving...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Voodoo 3-4 foot on the new freeflight single. Not perfect out there but still plenty coming through.
