Re: Just general surfing stuff

I’d love to take Carroll’s meat and potatoes Newport surfing and put it in the deep freeze out at some lined up point break. Just for the little guy, the every man. I liked reading about his jbay go out. 6-8 foot, early roll in, into warp speed 45 degree climb drop lines. Nothing worse than seeing ...

Today the swell will rise magnificently throughout the day, and I will absolutely throw buckets all over it.
Will you be riding a channel bottom single?

Pendulum stylings?

We need more early 80s log cabins NC surfing on here

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Going to short mostly leads to ugly short arc tick tacky surfing. Jagged and under powered.

When did a standard step up stop being 6’4 or 6’6?

Re: Where did you surf today ?

if you can’t get away during the week, then on the weekends get into the habit of an early rise. Like I said, drive twenty minutes
west, jump in the passenger seat, and we will make the most of whatever is happening south. I’ve got the Illawarra stretch mapped out pretty well.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Yeah, never know how you can piss off every day, Hatchie. Definitely not a regular job. I work funny hours and can generally pick windows to go surfing based around the conditions, which is probably twice a week (aside from the weekends). Overall, I still work a 40 hour week at least. But that’s be...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Hey Steve, I’m thinking of getting one of these channel bottomed step ups in a 6’6 or 6’8 as they look pretty sweet. https://sideways.com.au/free-flight-keg-round-tail-step-up-shortboard/ For only $549 it’s looking too good to pass up. Have you felt one up in the flesh? Or ridden one? They look goo...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Fk oath it is. And for tomorrow the planets look to be aligning for an outer bar spot that does a mighty fine impression of greenmount point. Bit of a paddle out and sharky which keeps the crowds down, but well worth the reward. think I’ll pack a thruster shorty and big ol’ 70’s single fin pintail a...
