Re: Midlengths

NPJ is a solid sort of human, he'd have to be close to 100kgs himself.
Ie the 6'10" is probably pretty chunky.

Re: Midlengths

Check out the Walden Mini Mega Magic type of shape perhaps. I agree with Thud that the majority of stretched fishes etc don't work well. I don't think you need to go as long as you think. I've got a buddy who is 6'6" and 90-95kg and he rides a 6'6" Banks fish and some sort of 6'8" surftech thing wit...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I really like footage of Sunset with the bigger boards.
It's got a metronomic pendulum quality to it due to the drawn out turns, then you get the snaps and closeouts like an unexpected jazz solo.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

His new Sirfboard Warehouse ones seem to be an extension of the Wombat....which seems to be an extension of the Michael Cundith Stubbie.....which seems to go back to Greenough. I thought the Wombat was a Paul Hutchinson shaped Bear surfboards model that Beau rode? Yes it is. The Surf Warehouse boar...

You don't need 4wd for straddie, unless you want to camp at Flinders. Save the money for the ferry.

Re: A month Camping with the famalam East Coast - January

Yeah, for sure.
Just wondering if you were going to get to one of the islands.

At that time of year I would do Straddie and Yamba rather than Sunny Coast and Byron.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Surfed the mid Gold Coast this morning and I had a beautiful little bank to myself. It was turning the 1-2ft windchop garbage into fun little zippers. Like finding an Argyle diamond while shoveling pig shit. I'm not sure if it was a congenital issue or some sort of TBI situation, but the lifeguard d...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

The contracts for drum lines and net operators require them to be cleared every 48 hours at least so it's not all that likely sharks see their captured friends. Do you have any theories about how or why they seem to work? I don't think there's enough evidence yet to say that they do work, tbh.i cou...

Re: A month Camping with the famalam East Coast - January

Sunny Coast is pretty dire for surf and hot in January.
Aim to be near a headland that provides protection from the northerlies.
The northern end is generally better for that.
