Re: kite board- board... Dunno really... It seems they like quads for the extra hold, and finer edges, less volume and certainly foot strap lugs. I'm new to it, but it seems a lot of guys are using firewire for the strength, but perhaps you could come up with a better board. No, I'm certain you could!

I'm set to go. Got trainer kite and all the stuff (except kite board leash), under $800. Now just need to fork out for lessons. My mate says it's a must. The kite boarders are literally doing laps around me as I sit in the sideshore junk of my city. Here's to hoping it's not wasted money.

Consider the clean-up crew at the Fukushima power stations... Not only are they living onsite surrounded by spewing radiation, their accommodation and meals are literally worse than a POW's.
