Re: Can I rent a boat to cross Bali Straights?

That spot on the northeastern side of Java looks promising on Google Maps. I've heard some good things about that area, with a couple of solid rights to catch. Plus, it's always exciting to explore new breaks, especially when conditions are unpredictable

Re: Planning two weeks thru Oregon and Cali in May

If you want to surf, think about spending more time on the Central Coast of California. Places like Santa Cruz and also down towards Big Sur can give really good waves, mainly when there is a strong west swell coming. Additionally, the rough coastal landscape of Big Sur is truly stunning to see. Reg...

Re: Where to surf in December ?

Welcome to Realsurf! I suggest looking at South Korea, especially Busan. I visited last year in December and found impressive waves at places like Songjeong Beach. Also, it's a great place for those who love food because there is plenty of fresh seafood available. If you enjoy sailing, the sea near ...

Re: Michoacán Mexico

I've done a surf trip along the coast of Michoacán before. It's a bit off the beaten path compared to more touristy spots like Sayulita or San Blas, but totally worth it for the waves and scenery. Just make sure to stay updated on safety advisories and maybe stick to well-known surf spots like Playa...

Re: Michoacán Mexico

Oh, certainly! I have gone surfing on the coast of Michoacán with a car several times and it was fantastic. The area from Manzanillo to Ixtapa is a secret treasure for those who love surfing. Even though there are warnings for travel in certain places, I have discovered locations that are completely...

Re: Where to surf in December ?

For December waves, consider Sri Lanka's east coast, like Arugam Bay, which offers great surf, delicious local food, and nearby lagoons for sailing. Another option could be the Algarve in Portugal, offering a mix of surf spots, culinary delights, and scenic coastal sailing. As for a sailing jacket, ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

This is Damien Hopgood apparently. I'm pretty sure I've done this manoeuvre. I think it is a very good surfing photo. https://40.media.tumblr.com/c3e33909f823f865f1ea77d3a46053b4/tumblr_nmjxnrVZ6s1rhsep9o1_500.jpg Looks like those guys were just practicing their 'falling with style' moves! 🏄‍♂️💦

Re: Minor Rib Injury... still surf?

Ouch, sounds like a bit of a rough start to the trip! Sorry to hear about your rib pain. It's smart to listen to your body, especially when it's giving you signals like this. Taking it easy for a bit might be a good call to let things heal up properly. Longboarding sounds like a solid plan to minimi...
