The sweep was pretty brutal today wasn’t it. Fair bit of water moving around.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Snapper... solid 4ft lines coming through. Wind was SSW all morning but seemed to go straight S at about 2pm, was too blowy for me. Felt like it was going to blow me across the bay to Currumbin. Vibe was a bit off in the water, old heads fading little groms for barrels and a lot of kooks getting in ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The best part about it is this gold lion inlay on the nose of the board, it actually reflects light and blinds others around me. Dazzling both to behold and in the literal sense of the word.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Picked up a really expensive longboard from a mate of mine in NZ, it has these crazy fins. Almost foil-like. Cost me a fortune. Took it out at nashos and it seemed like it was going 20-30km/h faster than everyone else, picking up everything. I don't think I missed a single wave all session. Plenty o...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
Probably not in a month. But come Teahupoo, the whole thing will light up again, and Pipe 2023 will be here in a heartbeat. Have WSL decided to run the women's and men's events side-by-side at the same venues during the same windows now? I was under the impression that there were always distinct ve...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
Yeah was around ages ago (2012?) but have just grown older and a bit fatter so thought I'd come mix it with the pros again.
Also I have "Fong" and "Alkapoo" tattooed on each arse cheek.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Snapper. Did the run around a few times. Spent 3 hours paddling for a total of 5 waves. Crowds were wild (as to be expected) with old blokes yelling at young girls for accidentally getting in the way with their 10 foot hot pink soft-top, but mother nature started to turn it on after about 3pm. I did...

Re: Just general surfing stuff
I'd have to agree with Steve. Yeh. I remember a story in a surf mag years ago. The old man struck me as some intense tennis Dad of surfing. Ever been to Culburra? Can get rough. Although the kids went to St Johns at Nowra, a good school. The toughest thing about Culburra was learning as a kid to acc...
