Once when I read American surf forums it was not uncommon for these incidents.

Even before this incident there's a lot of discussion on the Over 70sFB page about the dangerous areas.
Trips to Mexico seem to be still very popular with older American Surfers.

I mainly rely on a physical barrier, there's lots of good things available for both cool andvwarmer climes. It easy in winter with wetsuits and various head coverings

Doesn't help your face. The sun reflects off the water.

If you’re specifically after a traditional sunscreen then can’t really help you with that unfortunately. They’re all carcinogenic an d irritating of the skin as far as my experience goes so I minimise my use of them. Generally I only use them on my arms in the middle of summer if I’m wearing a tshi...

Less exotic but im spending a few days in copacobana. Couldn't take a board but there's a decent mid length here that'll do the job.
