Re: Fiji 2014
they've put the same product out there several times now and the general public, especially Joe sixpack in buttfcuk middle america has had a sniff and turned his nose up at it. so, adding a few anodyne announcers and blanding down the product presentation seems a case of doing a slightly weaker job...

Re: Fiji 2014
The field is clearly WAY to big at the events. I have watched and shot a bunch of swells and nearly ALL of them only really have a single day of perfection, actually it's normally 6 hours on the right cycle of the tide depending on the location. I don't want to watch the backmarkers even in perfect ...

Re: Fiji 2014
So what happens? The "Cut" guy who has no clue about what's going on ain't leaving any time soon right? Joe seems to be pretty good now compared to him ey, Ross Williams is actually pretty good but skewed radically to a seppo perspective but what happens from here, is pro surfing gone as we knew it?...

Re: Need some advice on insurance when going to the Mentawai
Get the best you can afford, check it has the Air Evac facility and make sure it's not provided by a third party. When you get on ya boat or to the resort give the policy details to the skipper or manager so they have em and don't have to riffle through ya shit when things go pear shaped and your bl...

Re: Whose Life is it anyway
As a general rule of thumb, when on South Pacific working trips I prefer the company of mixed gender individuals to my fellow surf journalists. Except when you want to borrow the fcuken Internet ...or require funds to pursue your revolting personal interests. If it wasn't for the fact that he was b...

Come on. The only thing Peely is plying is his ivory handled riding crop over the sun burnt backs of the coterie of pre teen (I'm a goose) carrying his sedan chair.

Uh-oh. The tube dodger just returned Shearers venomous volley with interest. With interest!! How yer going Peely? Good to see you still plying your craft. Good Braithy, So I assume you will join me in the request to Shearer that on top of his ramble about the proceedings at Chopes he also deliver s...

Re: Whose Life is it anyway
Oh God the writers have got all antsy! Shearer I'm watching from afar (the deck at Pasta Point in the Maldives), I reckon the thing about someone taking MP's story that riles up old surfers is the fact that it's best delivered in short bursts in darkened corners of pubs late at night via people who ...

Re: ASP World Tour 36-Man Format
Seriously, how many people - unless your job is in media - follow the ASP? I could not give a rat's arse ... Each year the guys on the tour -'cept maybe Fanning - act more and more like entitled dickheads. There is nothing about any of these guys, their life, and their surfing which I can relate to...

Re: Training for Tahiti
Hey Shearer, 6'5" with volume, some rail edge, fresh wax maybe a new leggie. The BIG issue in Tahooty is getting to the fricken waves. Other than a couple of exceptions that are average waves anyway the bulk of the breaks are a LONG way offshore and a fair drive on land between em. During the event ...

Re: Shapers.
I think the pop-out revolution is the greatest thing to ever happen to shapers. For years there was no way of them justifying the complex nature of what they do or an ability to price their craft at what they should be … now there is. Joe Blow starts surfing, he goes to the local surf school and lea...
