Re: "the shire" real life in cronulla?
However, considering that there are numerous local councils and shires in Sydney it seems to me to be the epitome of smugness and general wankerism to call your local area THE Shire. I was born and raised there and never even heard the expression 'the shire' or 'God's country' or whatever until i w...

Re: Never been barrelled
One of my mates got gutted by his fin from pulling in to close outs.I personaly have snapped the nose of a board off with the back of my head and put my teeth through my bottom lip getting smacked with a rail.So I disagree with using close outs for practise.Re-entrys are good on close outs.I cant re...

Re: Riding olo boards with displacement tails: a Tom Blake . . .
What's so displacing about these so called displacement hull boards. :? Any board/hull will displace water to some degree. In shipping water displacement is used to determine minimum ballast and maximum loading of a vessle 8) but untill recently that's the only time I've heard of it. :?: Even...

Re: Seal in the surf at North Avalon last night
There was a seal out the middle of maroubra last friday at about lunch time.He had a whole school of salmon to him self (lucky bugger). He hung around for about half an hour or so and was last seen traveling north laying on his back waving one flipper in the air (bloody showoff).
