PNG Explorer - November?
I'm considering a trip on the PNG Explorer in November. Does anyone have any experience / thoughts about PNG? Too fickle? Too dangerous? Or a hidden gem ignored by most? And any views on the PNG Explorer - their website looks OK but I haven't spoken to anyone who has booked a trip with them….

Re: Ski resorts in Canada
I spent two weeks at Whistler / Blackcomb in late Feb of this year. It is so huge and varied that it'd easily meet the needs of a mixed bunch of traveling skiers. Cool spot for those less interested in skiing as well - heaps of other stuff to keep loved ones busy while you disappear into the mountai...

Re: CW+
What are the odds that CW rushes our and buys a whole lot of new cams - given that CW tends to follow whatever SW tends to do. Historically SN makes a change and CW matches it. What I find odd is that there are about a million people who work for CW while SN seems to survive on a much smaller staff....

Re: Whose Life is it anyway
Finished reading The Life last night. Billiant piece of literature. I'm with Beanpole. Anyone who is critical of the author / piece of work without actually having read the book knows nothing and should shut the f*** up until they have. Sure - the story matches many aspects of MPs life - but it's ho...

The cr@p thing about spring is that there is f*ck all swell - which means you guys / girls really have to find something else to do in the meantime. So much energy expended on the fate of an internet forum post. OMG - did someone REALLY call someone else a KOOK ....when he's really a CHARGER? And di...

Re: Surf Journalism: "An endless summer of sycophancy" ???
I don't know why I am wasting my time here....but here goes..... Well you are certainly showing both your own ignorance and your own stupidity by your dogmatic response. People should act better than they do often, but people are flawed creatures. Sometimes you are showing your true beliefs and some...

Re: Surf Journalism: "An endless summer of sycophancy" ???
I think it's possible to make a racial slur when you are pissed off and not really be a racist. People say stupid stuff when they get angry. If you make a racial slur when you are pissed off you are showing your true beliefs. And people say stupid stuff when they are ignorant....like the drivel in ...

Re: ECL?
Cmon Nick, no one would have complained if forecasters hadnt called it in the first place. It's a big call to go straight to "biggest swell in 30 years" and put it in the Sydney Morning Herald. Which forecasters called it the biggest swell in 30 years? BAM http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/bigges...

Re: Somewhere nobody knows about
Hey Revo and Wanto - you may want to edit your post as the original title of the thread is showing in your subject header. (Fcuk knows why I care - I don't even surf there - still - seems like the right thing to do)

Re: Somewhere nobody knows about
OK - it's hardly Sydney's best kept secret - but I think it is a dumbass idea to post a thread on this forum with the name of the spot, some decent footage and a statement that says "I'd like to surf there". Maybe there's a reason why Swellnet doesn't name the spot At least change the title of the t...

Some pretty good images there - #1 through to #5 are all mag worthy if you ask me. Knowing that stretch you probably took a few on the head as well.
Gotta love #4 - everyone scrambling to get over / through - while the water photog goes "this might make a good image...." ha ha....
Thanks

How's the results of the poll on how many times people have surfed in the last week - more than a quarter hadn't surfed at all and another quarter only surfed once! So - more than half haven't surfed more than once a week. How pathetic is that. . Thats out of 540 who voted. Nearly 4 times that amou...
