Re: Look at Me Now headland

Looks like a moderate/strong S swell pulse for the first weekend. I don't really know that Coffs coast as well as I should, but nowhere is really set-up to handle that type of swell? Toots? it'll be close to my birthday and I was thinking of spending it in Motackle.....maybe I'll have to pivot and p...

Re: Look at Me Now headland

cheers Toots, you in the mood to help a brother out with a flathead spot or 2.
what about a headland that holds jewfish?

Will take longboards and mids and see what happens.
Octafish is always a solid small wave choice and can get barrelled in A frames.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

was fun here. I kind of wound everything down after that last winter swell....felt like a natural time to take a pause after what has been a very intense surfing program. Then when Nick got taken and the general high number of white sharks around....it seemed disrespectful not to give that some spac...

Re: La Nina 20/21

yep.

20ft+ with 20 second periods??????

that sounds like an old sailors tale.

would take a very special system to produce that on the east coast.

Re: La Nina 20/21

feeling so La Nina like around here. moisture in the air, cumulus towers every day out to sea, E swell still continuing, very much attenuated northerly pattern. thanks for your contribution Nick, don;t be scared to come in here and throw in your 2 cents worth. Loof won't bite. He feels a bit inferio...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

saying they are curious and bold, occasionally aggressive is not the same as calling them "one dimensional killing machines" I think Braithy might call that over-dramatic. Lets have an adult, nuanced conversation Coops. whites in the surf zone, esp the juvey/sub-adults we see up here seem to exhibit...

Re: La Nina 20/21

last big one was 2010/11, which was primarily noted for the Brisbane floods.

not esp. amazing for surf.

Although Spring 2010, in the lead-up, was fcukn amazing.

I like this little corner of RS.

Just me you and Loof.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

yeah, can't see QLD pulling those nets, or at least not without replacing them with drums. I just find it ironic that people say there will never be a cull because of popular opinion when there has been a culling program in place for 60 years. humans rarely like to face the extent of their actions....
