I am interested in the fin theory though josh. If you apply the Aero theory, surely the wave and the board create the lift. Therefore the fin can be as thin as practical as it is designed to be aerodynamic to be streamlined when needed, but it then enables the foil to give drive and controllability ...

Has been a long time one here, but Josh your Aerodynamics theory is prity close to spot on. There is a very close correlation with lift and drag. So the faster the foil, the less lift it should produce otherwise the more drag. So the f11 analagy is correct lots of thrust, therefore lots of speed so ...
