Re: Where did you surf today ?
Just got back from a pleasant outing at an un-named back beach. NE wind backed right off. Four out. Beer time. Pretty sure we are on the same coastline. It was very pleasant middle of the day at said unnamed quality spot. I picked the eye out of the crowd by hitting middle of the day. Was building ...

Re: General snow stuff
^^@ brendo: went off the back of eyre up the top down the to Betts Creek drainage.skinned eastish for a decent whack following the Creek and I went up the Mt Wheatley area after that but was heavy going in the sun on the way back - it didn't compare to the 1st run which was really lovey. Was on my o...

Re: General snow stuff
just spent 5 days at perisher. the amount of snow is insane. lodges with huge parts of them buried. had to lend guys next door a shovel as no one was in the lodge for only 2 days mid storm last week. the door was only just visible, took an hr to dig out. rock garden at bluecow doesn't have any rock...

Buy it.
Looks fun.
Had a 4 or 5 really fun boards from Muzz, couple similar type of thing sans the flyers. User friendly but not dull boats. Certainly knows his way around a quad.

Re: Just general surfing stuff
"To grovel or not to grovel? This is the question" Of late when it's been 1-2ft I've been riding my 6'3 CV2 fish or my DVS All Rounder (7'4) . They aren't really meant for the small stuff, a few lads on here would say the CV2 needs juice, the All Rounder is an incredible board that really has a 2-5...

Re: J-Bay Pro 2017
Very impressive from JJ. Connor Coffin also looked good. Was disappointed in Wiggoly - I thought his backhand would light it up but he blew what would've huge.Of the other goofies only funky looked on the pace. Slater's 9 odd was good and his jive at the end was pretty cool. Early days but on that p...

Re: Gary McNeill
Worthwhile trying as a twinnie? Would need some fins- consensus to forgo keel type and go for a more upright fin?

Re: that wetsuit discussion...
Guilty of that myself. What made it worse I bought a zipper less by accident as I was looking to replace an old chest zip ss steamer. First day I tried to put it was torrential rain. Decided to get changed in the car and ended up in a real bind. Actually thought at 1 stage I was going to have to wai...

Re: Gary McNeill
So had a go out on CV2 in waste high peelers. First impressions that it's a fast, but not too fast, stable board that loves a cuttie. Most pleasing aspect was the back hand. Didn't have to ride too laterally like other fishes I've had. That is to say I really like the rocker and rail combo. Boards ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I see them around here. Nice kids with big dream and parents taking them for a wave every day and training them in competition surfing with pizza throw arms and completing their waves. 1 in particular is very good, 1 of the top juniors in his age in Oz. You really notice when the grom comps are on a...

Re: Gary McNeill
I'm a convert. An acolyte. A zealot. Best made board ever. By a country mile but great construction means nothing if it doesn't go. A CV2, and certainly not a groveller. I rode an entity in quality 3 to 4 foot lefts as well and a superb board. Struggled in poorer surf though. Hi mate. Glad you said...

Re: Gary McNeill
Had the CV2 for 3 months. Have not ridden another board since. It has a defined hip, if you wanted a point of comparison similar to what you see in some of the Channel Islands boards. I went the carbon fibre rails, stringerless PU blank with expoxy glass. In terms of feel it's not as corky as expoxy...
