Re: Close out and White Batter

180Deg duckdive. I know it sounds lame... but this is what I do must of the time. As the waves starts to close and you can't make i do a reverse spin or forward but only make it halfway 180deg and with the momentum you've got I dive the nose steeply into the remaining wave surface begining a duck di...

the good news is it looks like a genetic trait, just like some people get moles and some freckles and some both. The link suggests it can be acquired or you may have the disease from birth. Further argument weather its tumor or not (radically mutating cells). Once again its genetic trait so you'll e...

re: Munch wouldn't suncream act as an oil or lubricating slippery surface, thus making the blu-tac less sticky, effectively hightening the chances for it to slip out. Blu-tac is cheaper than chips, i don't mind getting a fresh one each time I go out. Bad advice for me mate & others with perforated e...

I spoke too soon! I went surfing on Saturday arvo and got dumped by a small but viscious shorebreak, felt quite a pain in my right blu-tac'd ear while under the greater part of the turbulence. Almost like feeling cold water wizz through, past the blu-tac. 2 Days later I'm at the docs getting antifun...

Close out and White Batter

Just wondering what do you all do when your lines finally finished and the wave suddenly peaks to a close out or starts to close into white wash before you can get off. I've been trying to do aerial move but the waves aren't big enough to facilitate this, sometimes I'll get off just before the lip c...

I think SurfT might be suffering from Tourette's syndrome.

Offering lollies is a metaphor in this context, but if you must know, sometimes during Halloween.

On the more gentlmenly side of surfing I sometimes will put my hand out like i'm offering a kid lollies and say to the surfer, here you go - this one is yours mate. I don't care if I don't catch all the perfect waves. Its not about that, its about being out there and enjoying what you can. Sometimes...

I got a perforated Ear Drum from surfing in a 6ft+ swell, the wave dumped me then the board bunched back and smashed into my ear at high velocity in the barrell. So my ear drum was damaged and outside some cartlidge. Either way it never healed up, it got infected and then had to treat it. Now i've g...

When you lose balance it doesn't matter if you're wearing flippers or feet. You'll still have a hard time staying up right. The doc said its been bashed and now really swollen and inflamed. He could not find perforations but described there might be a tear near the bottom as that's where the inflamm...

noooooo!! this is the rule of the unfortunates. well i figure its perforated as i lost complete balance, pressure or blow must have caused some trauma there. Going to the docs now, i've been told to go home from work. Plus been doing some reading and I don't want an infection and will prolly need so...

Lost balance bodyboarding - Ear Kinetics

In other words got smacked the f%#k out! up to 6ft day, eitherway didn't last long because i got dumped but in such a way that the board went under, i couldn't hold on then it flung back underwater and smacked me right in the head into the ear. I got back on the board after resurfacing in shellshock...

Favourite small swell spot/wave?

As opposse to Big Swell :p Tomorrow is going to be a tiny day (ref: 2/7/2007 Tuesday 1.5ft). Just wondering where your favourite spots, breaks, beaches are on a small swell day? I know some people don't bother with crap swell days, but when you work 10hour shifts and get that extra weekday off. I'm ...

Best wetties on the market i reckon ahh k, fair enough! yeah i was looking at the E bomb, looks to be one of the better designs and materials wetsuit atm. Unfortuntely will have to wait when it gets colder for 'the Bomb' :p as my budget ...
