Re: Vego Surfers

if i travelled back to 1979 i'd probably end up with a foily of dacca from the pool hall above kings cross station. not worth the chance of being half fly/half human. it's the mandrax, tuinal and seconal that i miss from 1979. i don't think laughing cow cheese comes in blocks - more like lumps. i'm ...

you're better kitted out than the new zealand navy.

for apres surf, i keep a billy, tea, grid iron (bbq grill thing), and hand line in the back of the car.

Re: Baja & Other 2009 Surf Destinations

southern baja is nicer, and you'll get more waves than on the mainland, which is more crowded and developed. but it's not like you have to choose one or the other, you can easily surf both.
it's been 15 years since i was last there, so things might have changed a bit.

Re: Bodyboarding and Cycling from Banda Aceh to Bali

dow might be good for the waves, but you probably want something that is durable. i imagine it'll will be easily trashed on a bike trip in south-east asia.
there are plenty of PP boards that'll work well in indo.

there's a bit of rummaging around under the city in 'the last wave', nothing quite as identifiable as in 'stone', or at least not to me.

carpetbaggers and those in governement will ensure that the biofuels industry ends up just being another mechanism to tranfer public money into private hands while providing no benefit to the community or world in general.
