Re: Just general surfing stuff

For a little while I worked directly for a company extracting gas from offshore formations just west of Bass Strait. The offshore rig and onshore processing plant are relatively new, but require continual maintenance. They're never too far from a potentially disasterous fcukup The scale of potentia...

Re: Midlengths

i'm tempted. fricken hate wax in summer. I was a bit surprised how good it was to not deal with wax. Doesn’t melt in the car if you surf before work in summer, doesn’t get on clothes or in your leg hair. Salty, yeah it’s not cheap. If the price came down I think many more people would get it Pirate...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Thanks for all the info and discussion fellas! My mate has an 8'6" surf tech. Steven slater model. Very thinned out unlike most models. I think it's 2 1/2" thick at most. It's not a bad board, the thinner rails make a difference. Most of the ST longboards have burger rails. Burger rails plus ultra ...

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Lol at you two. One of the most stylish, best surfers ever. As the guy in the clip said, 1% of the 1% of the 1%. He was hopeless on the first 2 to 3 boards. Killed it on the Neck Beard, all right on the Lost and great on the last two. Guys a gorilla. Low in style high in power. I'm not a hpsb'er by...

Re: Quiver thread

I can't imagine a circumstance that would cause me to set aside that beautiful JD and pick up the other board. Too much rocker and fine rails to work in weaker waves. I have surfed it at the farm at chest high but i was really just teaching Mrs. Beerfan. It went ok but with some push it is a beauty...

Re: Midlengths

Was that a custom Corey Graham Beery? He makes a nice board - looks the goods! Yeah mate, took it out just then in average waves kind of out of the wind. Brief surf but needed to try it. Super stoked! Paddles great, in early, smooth turns from default position but stand on the tail and it responds ...
