Re: back docs....HELP!

If I were you: - I would say scrap the "'alternative's" ... but seeing as though you seem to be a fan of it, then I guess it's OK but I wouldn't expect too much and make sure there's no manipulation. - Get a referral to see a neurosurgeon. I would really recommend Dr Pope at the Poche centre North S...

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?

An observational case study of one is indeed the weakest form of science. So if you can find me about 400 middle aged guys with a twitchy eye, we can commence our placebo controlled randomised trial. And if we find a few thousand more, boo can do the meta analysis. Well first, there are stud...

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?

Mg is particularly helpful for the muscle cramps associated with heroin withdrawal. Recently due to poor sleep habits I had developed a twitchy eye. Most annoying to me, and made me look even more shifty than usual. Three days of magnesium. Solved. :-) God damn   How do you know that you...

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?

Nobody says that magnesium isn't good for you. It's whether taking magnesium when you already have sufficient stores has any beneficial effect - other than anecdotal evidence, which I think should -> <:

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?

Sounds like she was enthusiastic, sorry to hear here passing. Again, just because she's a GP doesn't mean she's right either  the majority wouldn't want to line up with aima unless there's some sort of gain from it. I thought this extract was kind of funny, because as soon as any medicine or s...

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?

Been taking the occasional magnesium supplement but not in the doses you guys are. Can't see how your body could take up that much in a short space of time, and like most vitamins a lot must end up being pissed out. Or perhaps crapped out. Had a dose of the runs last night and this might explain it...

Re: Panafcort (prednisone) ... WTF ?

Add here's some additional advice from AMH Treatment Hydration Use tepid (rather than hot) water and soap substitutes; if soaps are used they should have a neutral pH (mild soaps) and time spent bathing should be minimised to reduce resultant dehydration. Bath oil or colloidal oatmeal (eg DermaVeen®...

Re: Panafcort (prednisone) ... WTF ?

I don't understand why people have a go at drugs all the time. "It only treats the symptom not the cause blah blah blah". Funnily enough there is no treatment that cures eczema, or asthma. The next best thing is symptom control, which in itself can prevent progression in some diseases. Anyway what d...

^ ?

The creams they use these days (only for pretty much benign lesions) are 5-flurouracul and Imquimod.

Re: a.d.d to aspergers syndrom

Sorry to hear about the difficult situation, hopefully you get some good support. I just had a little look at a proper website, and it did say that around 15% of kids do grow out of it as the move through adulthood. And to add to that, I do know (not personally) someone with Aspergers who is doing m...

Breathing exercises/techniques won't improve your lung capacity, you need exercise, nice sweaty exercise.

Re: Back injury inquiry

Yeah for sure. That's why in most circumstances imaging can do more harm than good. If we scanned 100 healthy people a lot would come back with findings, such as disc prolapse etc. So it's obvious that some would erroneously infer that the finding is responsible for the back pain when it probably is...
