Re: Where did you surf today ?

Super fun 4' beachies this morning, clean

Surfed the new 10 channel, what a dangerous surfboard that thing is, I think I will call it the Shark.
Actually I will call the 6'9" version the White Shark and this one can be the Bull Shark.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

man it's been good up here today. Steam training 6' plus lefts and a few rights, a bit ragged but thick, a couple of reefs kinda almost there but not quite. The Jed is on fire, so much so that I'm gonna stop surfing it, it's too good to waste on anything but the finest.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

had a fantastic surf. Quite early, super clean, really manicured easterly swell slightly crossed from the south angle, cold light offshore winds. Perfect bank for the swell, lefts peeling off a reef into sand, occasional rights crossing the grain. The water was the colour of the green glass of a win...

Re: post your modern day sickness

fuschia hell that board is gorgeous. Roping here today, not huge or anything but magic clean 3-5', mostly lefts from the swell angle but some rights from a slightly more south bit of it, and the Jed which had felt good in yesterday's tiddlers just came to life.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I think the wind near NZ has exceeded the prediction by at least 5 knots, maybe more. She might come in a bit over forecast.

Re: post your modern day sickness

Well you can have a hip in the rocker just as you can have a hip in the outline, both are pretty common really. We spent a while on this thing getting rid of any sign of hip in either. All the curves are constant and they all run together before straightening up a bit through the tail. The board fee...

Re: post your modern day sickness

6'2" x 193/4 x 23/8", we had to nudge the width out a touch to get all the curves to fit. There's no hip in the outline or rocker, it's all clean curve. Slight vee under the nose transitioning into single concave naturally foiling out into flat between the front and back fins, tiny flat vee behind t...

Image

6'2" Jed Done, designed to ride bigger a la the ghost concept. Simple but trippy, it looks different from every angle. It's gonna get a workout in this next swell.

Re: LOST @ Collaroy. Blue Wayne Dean 9'1" mal

well illiards one of my racing squad lost a race board off the back of White Rock on the same day. Couldn't turn it up even with a jet ski search. Last week it washed up on Soldiers Beach on the Central Coast. So maybe cast your net a bit.

Does that include us Nick?

Planning on my first surf in almost 5 months. Some nice NE swell would be perfect to spread out the crowd on the NB’s.
oh totally, nothing hair raising

Re: Just general surfing stuff

gonna be special south of around Pt Macquarie this Sunday and early Mon I think.

Wind gonna gear itself up from the NE 200k offshore, blow down 3-5' of variable NE swell on to literally 1000 beautifully shaped north end sandbars, with a W wind on the coast.

hello ten channel.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

It’s not really a soul arch kinda board though is it. No it is not. buddy it's got futures plugs, I'll probs surf it a coupla times then get a special set cut for it when I know what suits I guess it's a 6'2" designed to surf bigger hollow surf, just a single concave in and out, tiny vee entry and ...
