Re: Getting caught inside at HTs and Rifles

spent a lot of time caught inside at rifles. There's no real channel and you just get swept along the reef. only way back out is through the break, so you need a lull in the sets ! dredgy and shallow so beware.

Re: The Surf Helmet Discussion

when I went around Australia a few years back, noticed the Gath's are quite common in the water in SA and WA.

I use one when I go to Indonesia, because the ramfications of a headknock are much higher up there. Never worn one in Aust, though.

looks like Bobby might be needing a job after that little rant. Why would anyone sponsor him now? Biting the hands that feed him. Seem to remember him slagging off about Taj Burrow at Bells even though he won the heat. Guys a tool.

Re: Malaysia in January

waist to head high slop if your lucky. I recently went to east malaysia. Swell maps looked promising but never got larger than waist high. I got really good waves on the South China Sea side of the Phillipines about 10 years ago.

Re: This is terrible.....

Im not sure its comparable to greenfield development at Smiths beach, Sandon Point or Catherine hill bay. Its a small caravan park on a flat site surrounded on all four sides by existing housing. Its not even on the beach and doesnt have any view or outlook. Are people worried about the environmenta...

Re: Surf casualities - creepy surf breaks

I surfed Cactus last year. That was pretty spooky. Everyone kind of hangs together. The right hander (caves?) had about 10 guys on it and the other breaks were empty. Everyone too scared to go out there by themselves perhaps ? I certainly was. Closer to home, Hawks Nest. I have now seen three white ...

Re: bullied by a girl

Spotty, how would you have felt if this guy decided not to bother paddling inside and just dropped in on you instead ? i think the girl was justified in having a go at you. People like you are a pain in the arse when its crowded. Your 30 year claim is irrellavant on a crowded beachbreak. Nice of you...

Dark chocolate. regardless of Rick Camersons alleged failures, you are clearly a bitter and evil person. I wish the moderators would ban you. I'm amazed they let you post that stuff.

Hi Rick, Im presuming given your involvement in resorts out there that your are keen to promote that side of things ? Are resorts out their viable though ? Resorts are generally crap investments even in easy to get to locations. In the Ments the resorts are really small, you have to ship everything ...

I cant understand why people who are fortunate enough to live in such an amazing place, get so bitter and twisted with each other. Boat operators dont get along with each other, Boat operators dont get along with resort operators etc. Surely its in everyones best interests to work together to achiev...

I used to ride a Crozier twin fin in the early 80's. A bit unusual then becasue Crozier made kneeboards mainly.

I know he is still around but i also had a grant miller 'Hot dot'. Which was a great board.

people surf on the reefs outside port moresby, which would catch the same swell as Torres Straight. The eastern islands of Torres straight should get swell. SE trades would blow it out early for most of the year though.

Tail pad

I want to remove my tail pad. Does anyone know how to do this without ruining the fibreglass underneath ? is there a good solvent that gets rid of the adhesive without affecting fibreglass ?
