Re: Longest wait to try new board ever?

Sure Daryl, whatever, threaten someone who is educated and works in the industry with hacking threats, I don't think I have to worry about an unwashed knuckle dragger like you actually knowing what he's doing, if anything it's vice versa, but I'm not a kid.... And yeah Nuffink I take it you never go...

Re: Longest wait to try new board ever?

Pffft I was provoking Huey with this thread and it worked, I scored some good ones on my 'new' board and also got a decent hold down for my rudeness. Of course I could surf a 6'3" rounded pin on a regular day but I reckon you should christen a board for the conditions you bought it for, it's almost ...

Longest wait to try new board ever?

I snapped my 6'3" semi gun last winter at a big day in Manly. I got a new one shaped and picked it up in September. We are now in May and I still haven't ridden it. That's more or less 9 farking months!! When are we actually going to get some decent ground swell in Sydney that actually requires a st...

Re: Keep smacking my leash foot

Never ever heard of this. Do you have 3 foot leash or what? Only issue I ever have is the car key poking out of the key pocket and scratching up my ankle.

Re: Teahupo'o

Billabong, yesterday, were promising live coverage of tow-ins today even if the ASP event was on a lay day, I got up early to watch and they changed their mind saying it's too dangerous to risk losing their equipment.

Re: How is wave height measured in Australia?

I use the Iggy scale but I find it's crap because non-surfers think you are a pussy. Example, you are talking to a surfer at work about getting clobbered by a 6 foot wave, and saying it was pretty big. A non-surfer overhearing you is going to think 6 foot is 6 foot, e.g head high and wondering what ...

Re: Occy ???!!!??? Noooooooooo !!!!

Oh come on! Are you scared you're going to turn gay from watching this show? What's the big fecking deal and what is wrong with Occy doing some dancing? Some people are so insecure about their masculinity, probably because they are latent homosexuals who are avoiding anything that'll wake them up. :...

Amity has drumlines, not nets.
Yeah I came on here to say the same thing, I remember clearly back then that there were only drum lines and absolutely no mention of any nets. Pretty bad using factual errors to prove a point.

Kelly Slater Wave Company

I guess many of you have already seen this, but if you haven't here it is. Yeah we've discussed this kind of thing before but what the hell: http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/press-release/kelly-slater-wave-company-ready-to-build-first-full-scale-surf-park-that-offers-world-class-wave_50609/ I don't...

Re: localism livesl

I actually dont hassle, im a very mellow surfer, just ask fong or trev, I will actually hunt down a peak for myself or sit wide and hope for someone to not make a take off and I pick it up or pick up the crappy wide ones. I hate hassling. That's what bothers me most about crowds is you can't relax ...

Re: Online Surfshops

I've got the latest models, Rip Curl e-bomb (CZ with aquaban) and O'Neill Psycho2 bought here in Aussie stores for around $350. You just got to give the sales guy a hard time, do your research and hit them with a competitive quote from somewhere else. I reckon they mark the suits up far too much cau...

Confused about the Warringah sticker; is 2010 still valid?

I've just come back from holiday and looking to get a new sticker, then I saw this on the Warringah Council website: http://www.warringah.nsw.gov.au/home/index.aspx For ratepayers this means: The existing beach parking permits with an expiry date of 31 August 2010 are now valid to 31 August 2011 . C...

Re: Going Troppo

You don't realise how much you rely on peripheral vision until you wear a hat surfing. I find it hard. The brim often gets in the way of keeping an eye on the lip ahead. Some hats also amplify all the splashing noises when you paddle, which annoys the feck out of me too. And as mentioned having to t...

Re: This winter is shithouse!

I'm worried about September because if it's this bad now what will it be like then? What's smaller than flat? I was all looking forward to this winter, got a great step-up that I should have gotten years ago and then this happens. Last good ride on it was back in May. No trips to Indo this year eith...
