I've found rashies retain water and go baggy.
Also not helpful for shoulder movement.

Thats what i was worried about although I do have a tight fitting rashie. I thought wetties wernt allowed so hadnt thought much about it but people have told me they used them previous years.

Has anyone done a swim wearing a rashie? Im about to do my first long swim
Lake Macquarie and thought a rashie might help with warmth/ protection but not sure if it would slow me down.

Southern tip of Baja you could stay in Todos Santos, picturesque, a little more upmarket (Mexican standards). Theres no Pyramids around but that time of year should be some northerly swell and theres plenty of spots to surf it around there and it should still be warm.

Andys camp has good facilities and he'll look after you well. I cant comment on most of the waves cause I was there in off season and there was only one spot working. A right hander which barrelled of the peak and on the inside section. We booked through world surfaris and transport was included for...

ok good advice to avoid arguing with the polisi and if you give them the bribe to avoid it fair enough, but karma? giving corupt polisi a few bucks?

theres far more people more hard off than the polisi. give your money to a beggar, donate to charity thats good karma.

[They are probably putting their kids through school with that money][/quote]

I just hope they remember their generous sponsors once they get this expensive education, we need more international doctors. Keep paying them boys.

my experience is it doesn't matter what you do they'll always find an excuse to give you a fine, international license or not. However rather than try excuses or arguments if you insist you are not carrying any money (and this will take some persistence) they'll let you go.

One of my worse experiences was at Hideaway in Fiji. The waves were about 4-5ft with the tide it was close to sucking dry on the end section. I snapped my board after an already exhausting surf. Then tried to paddle my tail section in through the reef pass but with all the water moving kept getting ...

Think i will have to suck it up and try the dick stickers, interested to see if it might shave a minute off my time. Another problem I was focussing on the other day is getting the most out of kicking. Being a surfer it feels more natural just to drag my legs along, do other surfers find this proble...
