Is 5D, Bondi and Riv bowls in good condition? Time to dust off the old gear and get back into it.. Haven't dropped into a vert bowl for about 4 years and Tas's new doco has got me pumped!

Re: Ask Carroll

Thanks for your reply Nick.

What's your favorite for average Sydney beach break waves:

1. Bottom contour (and why)

2. Fin system

3. Fins for that system

Re: Ask Carroll

Anyway surfing related... The short and stubby board craze doesn't seem to agree with me.. I've given it a go for a couple of years but went back to my 6'1 x 18 1/2 x 2 1/4 (single) hps. Fair enough it didn't go as good in the small stuff, so I experimented on my latest small wave board by having th...

Re: Ask Carroll

Ice is fkn deadly... I had 5 mates get right into it - 3 are dead (2 suicides, 1 mis-adventure), the other 2 have stopped over 5 years ago but are effectively non-functioning members of society.. Can't hold down jobs, have a conversation, always jittery or on edge, erratic and on meds for stabilisat...

Re: Slater Hater ???

Years ago my mate got Slater's mobile number via his radio reporter sister that had planned a radio interview with him.. Few drinks later we were pranking and mucking around, just constantly niggling.. He actually was really cool and started joining in with the jokes.. He kept saying "I think you gu...

Re: Dimple Bottoms ???

Hey Mark, have you tried experimenting with different shaped dimples (instead of circular), and also differing positions and depths in relation to positions and shapes? I have no idea if it would change anything, but inspired experimenting is the key to progression!! Possibilities are endless.. Bott...

South of Stanwell and north of Sandon for about 7 hours in total this weekend... buggered.. Stopped due to getting pins and needles through my elbow, and my calfs locking up to the point that my foot was still 90 degrees 15 mins later..

I got a Billabong hybrid zip thing with a overhead flap (2010 revolution i think), great suit used for about 5 hours every weekend and still looks and feels new. My mate bought one of those Rip Curl bomb chest zip things and he spends way too much time getting in and out the thing.. Online is the wa...

Re: the single most pointless and gheyest thing on the plane

right wingers moaning about the carbon tax. Just think the govt went about it the wrong way.. If the whole reason of creating a the tax is to minimise usage due to the added cost, why compensate people so they can still afford to use if? It goes against the logic of minimising emissions.. Why...

Stored Board Longevity

If i get a new custom stick made and store it without using (shape is moving onto the mines for work, and i'm keen on getting a few before he pulls the pin), do they go off, weaken, or get soggy after a year or so? Any sort of effects for the board? Or do they just retain all new characteristics but...
