It ain't Ebay, but Airasia has got a lot of cheap fares ATM, like Perth to Bali for $149...

Last September I paid $350

As usual, one board bag under 15kg and 9' is free and doesn't have to be booked.
Fuck that’s good

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards

Epoxy boards are floatier at the same volume. Volume (or displacement) determines flotation. The only difference in flotation between eps and pu foam is the difference in weight of the foam itself, which won’t amount to much. The rider’s own weight could vary by that much from week to week. Let me try this one with Trev.

Trev, how big is this wave?

Allow me... my best estimate is 12', plus or minus 2'

I miss the ole' time kilojoule days
It does sidestep the focus on wave height though, and addresses the non-linear power of waves

Re: How is wave height measured in Australia?

OK, its time to drag out that big day at Ulus in 2008. No-one out at 7am, it was awesome! Two guys tow in at about 8:30am

Skip to 1 minute where a surfer tows in and rides from the outside bomby all the way...

So how big was it?

Yeah, good response Steve... the old adage: if you act like prey you're way more likely to get treated like prey

No cabins, Cranked. Must be thinking of the Nasho's southern beachies.

Re: Just general surfing stuff

Hatchy, I've surfed it a few dozen times ages ago, never when it was big as I usually went there when Cronllua was small or to avoid crowds.

A nice boil on the Northen end and a mellower break south.

Are the shacks still there?

What a bummer AJ, things aren't going to well.

We had a caravan at the Bendalong caravan park in the 70s for a few years. Great memories, it would be sad to see Don Hearn's Cabins go.

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Not a single surfer has been killed by a shark in Indonesia, nor has there been any serious injuries. :-D-: Some pretty gnarly injuries to hands at that certain rivermouth break in Bali. The locals have actively 'discouraged' talk about the last few attacks, there's been more than you'll find on so...

Re: Nth NSW sharks. Can they p!ss off already?

Since 1990 when Great Whites were protected they have made up some lost ground and are back up to about 70 percent of their historical level. But still, the recovery is going slowly. Females don't start reproducing until they're about 15-feet long.

Surfers Journal is good Cranked.

I have to acknowledge Surfing World too- too expensive for me to buy though.
Thanks... subscription only, probably should get one: $74 for 6 bi monthly issues
