That drone footage those fisherman took looks 100% staged. Obviously had burley in the crab pots.
?? Got a link?

Edit: never mind, the one in SA near Coffins? Found it.
Their crab net would have bait in it, like a Salmon or something

There once was a scribe named Nick
whose poetry didn't rhyme sic (sic)
you'd know why if you saw
him writing near the floor
with the pen up the eye of his dick

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Poetry should rhyme, let's just get the basics right before we get all carried away with it.

Re: Eggs - how do you like them?

Are you far enough forward on the nose when you duck dive, like about a foot further forward from your paddling position. Probably not Cranked, I'm keen for my next surf on it so I can work it all out some more. At 7' 6" it's not that much longer than my normal boards, but the nose has so much more...

Re: Eggs - how do you like them?

Yep, roll. One thing with doing a roll......if you just flip the rail vertical it goes down easier. Less resistance. Not sure what you mean there BP. Pull it down on edge, then let it lay flat upside down? Sounds easier said than done, but will give it a go. Can't be harder than duck diving this bo...

Re: Eggs - how do you like them?

Is it an egg? A minimal? A mid-length? Who gives a fcuk. Bought this yesterday off Gumtree. Firstly let me say I have never owned or ridden anything except conventional short boards, albeit longer than most of you are used to, but not where I come from. I do have a Grant Miller 6' 7" F-Skate which ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

This pic of the Swansea FAD gives you some idea of just how hard the EAC runs when it's in full swing in January and february. 17 Kms out off Swansea in 100 metres of water, the FAD is anchored to the bottom. It stands about 2 metres out of the water normally. Closer to shore the current isn't even ...

Was this recent
Early season they were a long way out

The return trip much closer
Was generally the reverse out off the Hunter coast. I always assumed that once travelling they would be hitching a ride in the prevailing current, which could vary from year to year

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Today was a repeat of yesterday. Out in the water by myself at dawn for an hour before a handful of other surfers arrived. Glassy conditions, 10 wave sets, step laddering from head and a half to double, sometimes more. 20 minute wait between sets. Low tide just about all day. Westerly swell so pret...

It's cruel that people who take care of themselves so well can die of a heart attack.
Yeah, that's what happened to my father when I was 18. We were both in the same SLSC. No warning signs.
