Re: that wetsuit discussion...

When mrs duck wanted me to teach the ducklings to surf I was diligent about it for a while and they feined interest in it for a bit. It usually led to me jumping on a coolite or longboard after their feined interest and surfing while they played in the shorey. On another note, shrug just left the b...

Yeah I had a need suit a few years back. Didn’t like the fit. Definitely good value though.

I must have a weird body. Some suits fit me really well, others not so good.
Same. Can’t take advantage of O’Neill warehouse for steamers, they just don’t fit me.

Re: that wetsuit discussion...

I'm going back to Xcel for a steamer shortly.

My current Quikkie one is at the end of it's life with tears and it was the worst wettie I have had in years. Have a Xcel 1 mm top and a 2mm springie which are both great quality and warm.

Re: The Coolangatta Gold 2019

You know what I am actually enjoying it, I guess it is light entertainment for me right now It was fascinating watching Kelly's second round heat, I thought wow! he is really out of touch with the criteria right now! He's forgotten how to surf a heat. epic. Nick, do you think Kelly might be doing t...

Re: The Coolangatta Gold 2019

They haven't addressed the core issues with the format.

Too many surfers.
Meaningless round 1 heat (yet to see how this impacts the previously meaningless round 5 heat)
Competition too long
No incentive to go nuts on a wave and too much safety surfing.

The same as it ever was.

Re: post your modern day sickness

I reckon I'm bigger, heavier and older than you (and probably not as good a surfer).

Also worked out quite sometime ago that I surf what works for me, and not what is popular, cool or works for others.

So it's 6'8" by 20 3/4 by 2 5/8. Designed for the bigger days where I want to get in slightly earlier and get moving fast.

Re: post your modern day sickness

Have been friends with him for 20+ years, great craftsman, great family. Would rather spend my money with him than a shaper with a mass produced model, could have got one over here but trust Ross enough to let him go for it.

Re: post your modern day sickness

I had that under my arm just yesterday channels. Its about time you picked it up, I'm pretty sure I saw it around before I went to Bali (maybe unglassed, can't remember) and that was 3 weeks ago. Nice board! I thought you might recognise the shop Cranky. Had plenty of boards from him iver the years...

And if you don’t like Beany’s posts, BLOCK HIM. It’s that simple. But I get the impression people would rather whinge instead. It’s the Australian way. We’ve taken over the mantle from the poms. At the risk of incurring your wrath by entering your domain of Simpsons and Family Guy references, i fee...
