Correct. "injuries not compatible with living" is a way of saying "not able to be saved via normal means such as CPR etc" because the body isn't intact enough for resuscitation (i.e.; major torso crushing, decapitaton, etc)

Wasn't there a fatality at Dreamtime/Kingscliff and several bites along that stretch?

There was a surfer bitten on the thigh there a few years ago - talked to the doc at the hospital that treated and basically the femoral artery was just there, millimetres from the edge of the bite. Nick that and it's all over.

Don't forget cook island is basically a shark nursery out there

friends as well as dive schools all dive out there. i've even snorkelled around the rocks there. the sharks are all grey nurse ... a few tigers come in close but with the abundance of food out there, they don't even look at you.


dive schools would dive cook island if it was a dangerous place for attacks.
