Re: Ebay Bargains thread
Saw this and couldn't resist.
A Martin Littlewood (Delta Designs, Margaret River) epoxy sandwich, 6'6 x 20.25 x 15.5 x 12.5 x 42l(?), deep single concave, step deck. Board is as new, surfed 3 times (according to the ad), though probably 10 years old. $250

If you look carefully you can see a shadow line starting from the flyer nearest the tail and going in a triangle/arc where the tail lifts suddenly into the swallows, a sort of step tail to go with the stepped deck

Re: Ebay Bargains thread
That looks military grade, evil almost.
Re: Ebay Bargains thread
Is the concept that there is plenty of volume but a refined rail and tail?Cranked wrote:Saw this and couldn't resist.

Give a ride report when you try it.
Re: Ebay Bargains thread
For $250 I'd give it a shot no prob.
Re: Ebay Bargains thread
I've always wondered why there aren't more stepped decks - lots of volume but refined rails seems to be the 'best' of both worlds. Is there a downside to this design?

Looks like it will rip to me, I'll let you know. Marty had a big batch made up (in Vietnam I think), so I'm sure a lot of development and testing would have gone into it before going into production. Its the Antman UFO model.channels wrote:Give a ride report when you try it.

Chines kind of do that as well. Along with giving an angled edge to not catch on take off.

Hmmm, if the manufacturer was shonky, they could always try building and selling off their own initiative.
