Squalene is mainly sourced from olives or yeast these days.

Sharks before people. Too many people anyway. Covids doing the planet some favours.

I was never wildly paranoid, but I did think about it a lot more a few years ago during the cluster.
Last 2-3 years I just don’t worry about it anymore, I figure it’s out of my control if I want to keep surfing, which I do, and now it can happen at Greenmount of all places.

Rainbow Bay used to be called Shark Bay in the old days. Name change was a marketing exercise. Byron was shark central as well.

Well, Byron was a whaling station and I was referring to greeny post Gold Coast shark mitigation.

....and post Ben Cropp blasting every grey nurse in the area with his Powerhead speargun back in the sixties and seventies. The Powerhead had a shotgun cartridge in the head. Point being the number of sharks regarded as normal for the last fifty years wasn't.
Re: Matt and the shark. Drones are just showing how often sharks are cruising around surfers.

I reckon the shark that swam past me on the drone footage was bigger than wilko’s.

Just needs some haunting music and it’s a news story.

Surfer presumed taken at Kelpies Esperance. Board was found but surfer missing. Pretty notorious spot Cranked, Legion?
