What proportion of the surfing population do you reckon should be on HPSBs. I'm saying 20% around here.

Yep, 65-75% here, maybe more. At all ages. Surprising considering the point can get pretty good, thought there would be the odd single etc. The older crew here are pretty good and fit surfers across the board.

Fark. I love the messiah but reckon JJF is a cut above and not just for his bigger wave/barrel skills.

I had the privilege of sharing a reef break surf with Harry Bryant ... Ho Lee Fuk can that boy surf, he's got a little bit of the Mason Ho's about him and a tube game thats second to none. But yeah JJF is another level.

The Australian leg of the QS is now almost complete.

There have been 4 events. All webcast live.

As a matter of interest, has anyone here watched any of it live?

What kind of a surf journalist are you ... don't answer that !

I watched little bits and pieces. but the waves weren't much chop, or had too much chop and ranged from insipid to minuscule.

Hey, on another topic, unless I'm mistaking, you used to work for the safari bus mob that stopped off at Plomer etc ... when did they pull the plug on that?

Yeh pretty sure I was standing on the beach yesterday watching it live. The comp area was from the lugga to almost the point. Ridiculous. That’s about a km taken out

I told you it was on.

Yes I’m whinging about a surf comp on my door step.
